Overview
The Data Status Dashboard (DSD) tracks data issues of datasets on the Datahive platform.
Delivering high-quality data is a key priority for Datahive.
The DSD helps us provide visibility regarding data issues.
Purpose
- DataHive Users
- SSOT
- Tenant Admin
DataHive Users are current and prospective subscribers of DataHive datasets.
The DSD will allow DataHive Users to keep track of issues affecting the datasets they subscribe to, or datasets they are intending to subscribe to.
Understanding these dataset issues is crucial for downstream usage of the data for purposes such as reporting, analysis etc.
For agencies serving as Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for DataHive datasets, the DSD provides transparency and mutual accountability between DataHive and SSOTs, regarding the validity & availability of datasets for DataHive users.
The DSD keeps track of past, outstanding and future data issues alongside the facts related to each issue.
Tenant Admins are the data custodians for DataHive datasets responsible for managing the data statuses reflected on the DSD.
The DSD functions to let Tenant Admins effectively understand all issues related to any dataset.
Data Quality Metrics
The DSD is part of a broader effort by DataHive to monitor metrics that measure data quality over time.
Consequently, this will allow DataHive to work with SSOTs to identify areas for improvement regarding the detection and resolution of data issues.
