Staging Environment

Is there a staging / testing / UAT environment where I can trial the API without using real government data?​

Yes. DataHive provides a staging environment (also referred to as the Testing or UAT environment) at stg.datahive.gov.sg for users and developers to trial DataHive features and API integrations without accessing real government data.

The staging environment mirrors the production platform, allowing you to:

  • Explore and trial DataHive features before using them in production
  • Test your API integration and system connections end-to-end
  • Trial data request workflows before submitting on production
  • Develop and validate your application against realistic data structures

The staging environment undergoes scheduled maintenance every Monday at 18:00 SGT (~10 minutes). Plan your testing accordingly. See Maintenance Window for the full schedule.

Are my production data requests replicated to the staging environment?​

No. Data requests are not replicated between environments. If you need a data request in the staging environment, you will need to create a separate one directly on staging.

Which CDO Team should I select when creating a data request in the staging environment?​

Select DataHive Support as the CDO Team and any of its associated emails as the Internal Approver.
