Unavailable Datasets

In the Data Request (DR) page, some datasets might be listed as "Unavailable datasets". The Unavailable dataset will have its status listed along with a reason for why it had been made Unavailable.

A dataset typically becomes Unavailable when:

  1. The dataset was un-published or deleted by its Data Provider(s).
  2. The dataset was purged by the DataHive platform admins.
  3. The dataset was requested as a part of a data product, and the data product itself had been made unavailable.

A dataset or data product can be made Unavailable because it is:

  1. Removed from distribution upstream from DataHive by legislative action, ministerial / agency direction, or due to cyber or data security concerns.
  2. No longer physically available, collected or produced by its Data Provider(s).

Affected requestors are automatically notified by email of changes in dataset status.

As a data requestor and Data Consuming Agency (DCA), you, your Agency Team and your Data Request's Approver are fully responsible under IM8/Data and the PSGA for ensuring that you have removed and purged any data that had been retrieved or received from any dataset or data product that was made unavailable.

By definition, data for Unavailable datasets can no longer be accessed or downloaded. For already completed download jobs, you can still download Available datasets if both Available and Unavailable datasets had been submitted as one download job.
